Why listen to us?
We could take our time and list all of our credentials here along with all the associations we belong to, which is very important information, but we have all that listed on our Bio page under About Us. You can find out the specifics by going there.
What is even more important is our history.
Both Mckenna and I have trained extensively in guided-imagery-hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming and between the two of us we have over 10 years of experience.
We have also used these techniques to help ourselves.
We have "been there" and know the power of these techniques.
Therefore: We know that learning and practicing them can help with an assortment of issues. We also know that the more you practice, the easier they become for you. Our Bruxing CD actually came from my own experience with TMJ .
Mckenna's favorite CD is Ultimate Confidence. This CD uses the imagery of the majestic oak tree and the Neuro Linguistic Programming technique of anchoring to access our own personal power and potential.
We hope that you will enjoy our web site. We hope that it will be informative and educational.
What is Hypnosis?
It is a focused state of concentration.
Consider this fact; each of us goes in and out of this focused state of concentration almost every 90 minutes of our waking lives. We do this anywhere from a split second (un-noticeable to most of us) to minutes at a time.
Do you remember when we were children and we would day dream? We just drifted off and focused on one particular thing. It's like being in a class room on a warm spring day and gazing outside at the play ground or trees, or watching the empty plastic bag gently drifting in the breeze, or smelling a familiar aroma that would remind us of times gone by. Any of these situations can easily take us into a focused state of concentration.
Anytime we are focused on one particular thing, we are actually in trance state.
It really is a focused state of concentration, even if you feel you are not concentrating. Such as day dreaming.
It can feel like you are drifting gently into relaxation. Just like when you are watching a movie, or reading a good book.
It will make you feel the way you do when you hear that music that makes you stop and listen, or the way you feel when you are in nature, or being in the Zone while exercising or competeing, being just in the moment.
It is a trance like state of mind that we go in and out of all through the day.
It is that dreamy state of mind that we drift into when we are just about to fall asleep.
It is our alpha state.
It is where we are able to get in touch with our subconscious mind and allow ourselves to become clearer and more mentally aware of our surroundings.
